چکیده

Aims : The spring habitats of Central Europe are insular biotopes high ecological value. Although subject to severe exploitation pressures, they do not yet have a comprehensive protection status in Switzerland. Contributing this challenge is the controversy involved with their syntaxonomic classification. In context development regional conservation strategy and establishment national inventory Swiss springs, we carried out survey vegetation aimed translate into classification system. Study area Montane subalpine zones Parc Ela (Grisons, Switzerland). Methods We selected 20 springs cover different regions, elevations bedrock types within park. each them recorded complete vascular plant bryophyte composition as well range environmental variables three 1-m² plots that were placed reflect heterogeneity spring. Precipitation impacts on vegetation spring phenology on the Tibetan Plateau.

The ongoing changes in vegetation spring phenology in temperate/cold regions are widely attributed to temperature. However, in arid/semiarid ecosystems, the correlation between spring temperature and phenology is much less clear. We test the hypothesis that precipitation plays an important role in the temperature dependency of phenology in arid/semiarid regions. We therefore investigated the in...

Earlier vegetation green-up has reduced spring dust storms

The observed decline of spring dust storms in Northeast Asia since the 1950s has been attributed to surface wind stilling. However, spring vegetation growth could also restrain dust storms through accumulating aboveground biomass and increasing surface roughness. To investigate the impacts of vegetation spring growth on dust storms, we examine the relationships between recorded spring dust stor...

Application of Hyperion Data to Agricultural Land Classification and Vegetation Properties Estimation in Switzerland

On August 18, 2002, the Hyperion hyperspectral imager onboard the EO-1 platform recorded data over an intensively used agricultural area in north western Switzerland, the Limpach Valley. The sensor’s 198 spectral bands between 400 and 2500 nm (Level 1B1) and a spatial resolution of 30 m bear the potential for both a detailed land use classification and an accurate estimation of biophysical and ...
